What tools will be needed to install the Lock and Stop?
          -Extension holder (provided)
-5/16" wrench or adjustable crescent wrench
          -Drill
          -Spanner wrench bit (provided)
-21/64" drill bit to make a hole 0.328" (only needed if there is not a hole in center of drain strainer)

What do I do if there is no hole in the center of my drain strainer to insert the vertical bolt.
If there is not a hole in the drain, simply drill a hole 0.328” (21/64”) wide with a steel bit.  A drill press may be required for thicker drains, but most drains will not be too difficult.  It may be easier to drill a starter hole before drilling the wider hole.

Will the Lock and Stop converter kit work for all drain strainers?
The Lock and Stop will not work for every drain strainer.  Strainers that only have crosshairs in one direction will probably not work.  For examples of strainers that will and will not work with the Lock and Stop please click here.

What should I do if I have a rusted, damaged, or missing drain strainer?
Drain-Net recommends replacing your drain strainer if rusted, damaged, or missing.  We offer replacement drain strainers made with adjustable screw clips to fit almost any drain.  Measure the inside of the drain to determine what size you need.  A screw driver is all that is required to install these.

What if my drain size is not exact?
Lock and Stop's unique expandable design allows for locking of non-standard shaped drains.  Measure your drain and select the closest Lock and Stop size available.

Can I unlock my drain after installing the Lock and Stop?
Yes!  To unlock the Lock and Stop you will need the provided spanner wrench bit which is especially made to fit the Lock and Stop.  Only you or those you trust should have access to the bit.  Replacement bits are available if needed.

How long will the Lock and Stop last?
All parts are 100% stainless steel making it extremely durable, corrosion proof, and virtually impossible to penetrate.  In typical circumstances it could easily last for 30 years.

Who is Drain-Net?
Drain-Net was founded in 2003 when they realized the need restaurants, grocery stores and other industries had for preventative plumbing products.  Originally only armed with a Drain-Net, the company's product offering continues to grow and offers all the latest technologies available for complete drain, grease, and waste management.  Our products have been successfully used in many popular stores now including McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, Chili's, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Safeway, Wegmans, and many others.

What is a Drain-Net?
A Drain-Net fits neatly into your floor drain, located below the strainer, and perforated to allow all liquids to pass on through to the drain.  A Drain-Net acts like your floor drain's garbage bag by capturing all the food scraps and solid waste that fall through the drain strainer.  They are available in a flexible net style and a molded plastic style. The frequency that the Drain-Net needs to be emptied depends on the amount of solid waste that enters the drains.  It is the green alternative to chemical pipe cleaners and helps prevent flooded floors, drain flies, foul odors, and costly repairs associated with clogged drains.  We offer a free flexible drain-net with every DrainLock you purchase.

What other Products does Drain-Net offer?
Drain-Net offers Drain-Nets, floor and sink strainer baskets, grease traps and monitors, garbage disposal replacement units (GDRU's) and many other drain, grease, and waste management solutions.  Please visit www.drain-net.com to view all of our products or contact us with your drain needs.
